Shish Kebab

Nina's shrimp and vegetable Shish Kebabs ready to be eaten

Easy summer meal! Great for parties!

INGREDIENTS

Shrimp, chicken or steak
Onions
Red peppers
Green peppers
Mushrooms
Squash
Corn (frozen)
Jalapenos
Cajun spice (SoLa or Tony Chachere’s are great ones to use!)
1 cup Wish-Bone Italian Dressing

INSTRUCTIONS

Use stainless skewers. If you use wood skewers, soak them in water for 1 hour. This will keep them from burning.

Cut meat in -inch lengths and 1/2-inch deep. Chop all vegetables in bite-size pieces, about 1-inch long. Remove the seeds from the jalapeños. Cut the corn in 1/2-inch pieces

Start each kebab with corn and alternate the ingredients. End with corn. This will help keep things together. Sprinkle with the Cajun spice of your choice. You are ready for the grill.

Shish Kebabs on the grill

Heat your grill 250 degrees – you want to slow cook the kebabs. Keep basting with Wish-Bone Italian Dressing and turning every 10 minutes. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
