Nina’s Shrimp Stew

Plate of Nina's Shrimp Stew

My Grandma used to make this. It’s so good…and so easy!

2 pounds fresh peeled shrimp*
1 sweet onion
1 bell pepper
1 cup celery
1/4 cup garlic
1 can Rotel Original
 (Get some Rotel HERE.)
1 24-ounce can Hunts pasta sauce (Buy some Hunts from their site HERE.)
1/2 lemon

Cooking a pot of Nina's Shrimp Stew

Nina's Tip *Shrimp should always be fresh! But if you can only get frozen shrimp, be sure to cook the shrimp before you add it to your pot. Frozen shrimp are imported and pumped up with water to look nice. The water pumped into the shrimp will ruin your meal. So, cook the shrimp separately with Zatarain’s Seasoning, then add it to your dish. (Get your Zatarain’s Seasoning HERE.)
